Senior Tax Manager

Heading is Recruiting a Senior Tax Manager (m/f) for an Oil and Gas project to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Main functions:

The Tax Manager will be based in Maputo, will be responsible for tax planning, negotiation with Tax Authorites and Government of Mozambique on tax purposes and tax advisor for the management of the project in coordination with corporate tax team in head office. The resposabilities include also managing and overseeing the daily operations of the tax department, monitoring and analyzing tax data, produce tax declarations and enforcing proper tax methods, policies and principles.

This position provides tax support for the Mozambique project, if need arises, responsabilities may include other countries, as well.

Skills and qualifications

•  Degree in Accunting, Auditing or Finance;
• 15+ years  of experience in Accounting, Auditing, with experience in Mining or Oil and Gas Industries;
•  Proven working experience as Tax Manager;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
• Direct and Supervise;
• Ability to interact with managements and staff at all levels;
• Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting and tax principles, GAAP, IFRS and PGC-NIRF.
• Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical skills;
  Ability to travel to the company´s locations in country and overseas on ocasional basis;
• Fluent English mandatory, Portuguese will be highly appreciated.
