Planner Engineer

Purpose:

Support Project Services Manager monitoring the project progress. Monitor contractor  progress against plan and highlight deviations to project management through regular  progress reports.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Accuracy and regularity of project progress analysis according to project procedures.

Key Activities:

• Detailed scheduling of project activities;
• Analyzing contractors and project team schedules producing project progress reports; – Consolidating detailed contractors schedules into the project master schedule and identify  critical path activities;
• Checking project reports;
• Participating to progress and ad hoc project meetings keeping the planning team informed

Provide safe and healthy conditions of work to subordinate personnel and control over compliance by the personnel  with safe, labor protection rules and regulations. Assure the application of all the relevant HSE procedures and standards in organization and development activities. Ensure, supported by  the HSE structure, training and staff development on HSE aspects. Ensure that all  contractors are competent and fully knowledgeable of Project HSEQ procedures. Prepare the  field development strategy, including preliminary contracting strategy and Project HSE Plan.  Supervise the preparation of the risk register and the relevant mitigation strategy to address  identified uncertainties and managing the risks. Supervise and coordinate the execution of the  project activities and identify and adopt correct HSE precautions according to Company’s  standards, local norms and legislations and ensuring that the highest HSE standards are  maintained throughout the project. Support the development team obtaining all the necessary  permits and approvals from governments and third parties authorities for project execution.

Training & Courses:

• Project Management basic course;
• Project management advanced course;
• Specialist software training (reporting systems, SAP, SIGEP).
• Petroleum engineering (preferred)

Languages

• Fluent in English;
• Basic knowledge of the local language preferred.

Education

• Technical secondary level education;
• Engineering degree preferred

• Organization Process: Project Management Process, supplier qualification methodology and  techniques, feedback development and diffusion, work team management methodology,  “Internal client” organization process, Documentation management, Contracting Strategy,  Contract Management;
• Project Management: Prep. of Development Program and Budget, HR Project Management,  Project Planning, Risk Analysis, Data Books, Oper. & Decom. Manual, Close-Out Report  Preparation, Cost control – Budgeting, Project Management Methodologies and techniques,  Risk Management.

Qualifications & Experience

•  5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience;
• 3 years of project scheduling/planning experience.iting for its client, an Oil and Gas Company, one Planner Engineer(M/F)  to be based in Maputo.
