Description
Our client, with gold mining operations in Zimbabwe, is looking for an experienced mining engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing life of mine plans (Open Pit).
- Short- and long-term planning schedules.
- Optimizing drill and blast designs the schedules.
- Monthly reconciliation reporting.
- Evaluation and proposing continual operational improvement initiatives.
- Contractor management.
- Ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental regulations are followed.
- Ensuring all mining operations are run in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Management, mentoring and training of subordinates.
Requirements
- Mining Engineering Degree.
- 10 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience operational experience with Open Pit Gold Mines.
- Must have SURPAC skills.
- Full blasting license.
- People management skills.
