Supports the OFFSHORE ICT SENIOR ENGINEER to ensure proper provision of IT computing resources to the offshore facility with the support of other stakeholders.
Monitor, update and request modifications to the system in order to prevent failures.
Technical support to his/her direct responsible for the preparation of tasks.
When requested, lead any intervention within the scope of his area of expertise.
Monitor the values of the parameters and alarms in the systems with respect to the monitoring of operating conditions.
Propose to his direct responsible the relevant actions to be taken to improve the availability and reliability of the systems.
Ensure that all software is upgraded and that periodically backups are performed.
Analyze the technical problems, identify the technical solution or refer it for the attention of a group with the corresponding technical level.
With the support of his/her direct responsible identifies critical calls (VIP…).
Keep the relevant teams involved constantly informed on any issue that could cause Business discontinuity onboard.
Monitor the ticketing queues, when so provided for in clients’ operations.
Carry out the processes of client service according to the quality monitoring standards established.
With the support of HQ CYSE unit and his/her direct responsible, controls to provide security for operating systems, software, and data.
Documents user support activity, such as system problems, corrective actions, resolution status, and completed equipment installations.
Install new or modified hardware and software systems.
Requirements
Degree in IT or similar.
At least 3 years of experience in similar role/position.
Good knowledge of IT architectures.
Good and proven knowledge on installation and configuration of Servers (Windows, Linux, …).
Good knowledge of virtualization (preferable VMWARE).
Good Knowledge on Storage (preferable NETAPP).
Good Knowledge of ITIL processes.
Good Knowledge of DB (preferable SQL server DB).
The successful candidate will be a good connoisseur in IT, with good client facing, service management and operations delivery skills.
Technical experience in installation, configuration and support of servers and clients.
