Site Services Superintendent

Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a Site Services Superintendent (M/F) to work on rotation (Afungi rotator).

Activities

• Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
• Within a team-work context:
• Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance of logistics and camp activities with all relevant statutory and project rules.
• Manage with all project entities (Construction/Field Operation/ Projects) the logistics and camp operations in accordance with project rules.
• Ensure the availability and suitability of staff, equipment and services to operational requests.
• Contribute actively to the improvement of the equipment, services and operating procedures.
• Ensure the correct number of vehicles, air wings are chartered/ available to meet long and short-term plans.
• Ensure accommodation requirements are planned and available for Company personnel.
• Assure and supervise the coordination with all project entities (Construction/Field Operation/ Projects) and ensure that each day, the right number of vehicles and logistic and accommodation are timely available.
• Ensure the correct use of IT system POB management: (PTS or any other system).
• Develop a team spirit, foster teamwork, and build trust within the team. Encourage suitable personal and professional development.
• Ensure site services is executed by all Contractors and Subcontractors as per Project’s requirements and standards.
• Implement zero change policy on the project unless it is demonstrated that unsafe and inoperable.
• Propose and maintain records and statistics to ensure accurate reporting, follow up KPI and implement adapted corrective actions.
• Review and follow up the operational land and air transportation procedures.
• Review and follow up the camp management procedures.
• Review and ensure optimization of vehicles, and camp at cost effectively.
• Contribute to annual budget preparation, when required, liaising with Cost control.
• Analyse and report performance of all Contractors and Subcontractors activities, identify any deviations/risks and contribute to timely propose mitigations to Project Management Team
• Assist to gather and validates ‘lessons learnt’ from all project team and provides feedback

Accountabilities

• Responsible for the logistic, transportation and camp within DUAT area in close collaboration with EPC Contractor as per project rules including project objectives for HSE, Schedule and Cost aspect.
• Coordination with other departments for the safe and on‐time execution of the work, to deliver a fit‐for‐purpose facility.

Qualifications/Experience required

• Education: Basic Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience in logistics operation and camp management as supervisor/ superintendent and a suitable general knowledge in oil and gas industry.
• Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous.
