Activities

• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to Company “Code of Conduct” and HSE rules and regulations.
• To implement HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility, and to comply with HSE training requirements for the position.
• To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project.
• To be informed of the appropriate Company/ Project Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s/PPS’s), international norms and standards, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project.
• To control the readiness of the detailed engineering by timely reviewing/ validating the documentation issued by Contractors (HSE, logistic and technical documentation), in compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures, TotalEnergies General Specifications, Discipline requirements and international norms and standards, in compliance with the schedule and with the aim to optimise costs without impacting the required level of Quality and Safety. Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable/ unjustified design choices, constructability issues… Participate, as required, to meeting with Contractor(s) wrt installation/operation matters on the subject under his responsibility.

To support the SURF Operation Manager for:

• Resolution of any technical problems.
• Anticipation of problems.
• Possible technical optimization & improvement.
• Technical assessment, if relevant, associated to an offshore schedule modification.

To support, at Site, the Company offshore team for:

• The start of a new offshore operation.
• The resolution of particular technical challenge(s) which may occur during the execution of the offshore works.
• To interface along the duration of the PBF SURF offshore campaigns with the installation engineering team of SURF contractor when the closure of any technical issues is required.
• To participate to project reviews as requested by TotalEnergies’ referential (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR…) and prepare or participate in Safety/ Technical Audits for Installation engineering.
• To assist the SURF Operation Manager for answering to relevant the Management of Change Requests.
• To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support).

Accountabilities

During the PBF SURF Offshore campaigns, the Service holder has the responsibility to assist technically the SURF Operation Manager He is based in Luanda and visiting the offshore sites in the case when an activity or a specific event is requiring additional technical expertise.

The Service holder is as a consequence, the SURF technical leader, based in Angola, for any installation subject.

The Service holder has particularly the following missions:

• Ensure that COMPANY HSE standards are applied throughout the various offshore operations and during vessel the mobilization activities.
• Ensure the readiness of the technical documentation (installation analyses/ procedures and manual) before starting each new offshore operation.
• The Service holder for this activity will be in a close contact with the PBF SURF installation engineering team based outside Angola and with SURF Contractor installation/ Operation team based in Angola in order to ensure that all pending technical points associated to the offshore technical documentation will have been revised in accordance with COMPANY expectations.
• Give technical support to the SURF Operation Manager for answering to any Management Of Change request in relation with the offshore documentation and requiring the assistance from shore.
• Give technical support to the SURF Operation Manager for solving all potential technical issues which may occur during the execution of the offshore activities and during the performance of the load-out activities at Angolan Worksites.
• Give frequent technical support to Company offshore team in order mainly to ease the start of a new type of operation.
• Assist SURF Operation Manager for the assessment of the technical feasibility associated to possible offshore schedule modifications.
• Give technical support to SURF Operation Manager to help and to monitor the preparation of the technical part of each relevant SIMOPS dossier.

The Service holder reports to the SURF Operation Manager, highlighting any problem/ concern encountered in the performance of his duties.

The Service holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE rules & requirements.
