Purpose of the position

As a Medic, you will Implement health management system at the operating unit by ensuring that optimum Health and Health management are provided to all employees by continuous assessment, monitoring and safeguarding of their health. Assure medical coverage as per Medic competence for employees under own responsibility, including an effectively functioning chain of medical emergency management

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities

• Render first aid treatment to patients and stabilize them for transportation ashore.
• Attend all accidents where injury has occurred and render necessary treatment.
• Responsible to the Offshore Installation Manager for ensuring that catering staff comply with Company health and hygiene guidelines.
• Make frequent inspections of food handling, preparation and storage areas to ensure that standards of hygiene are being maintained.
• Administer medicines and other medical consumables from the pharmacy.
• Maintain the stock of medical consumables onboard and inform the Maintenance Superintendent of stores requirements in good time.
• Undertake training to staff in first aid and health and hygiene procedures.
• Assist Offshore Installation Manager in administrative tasks and activities as required.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Medical Doctor (MD or equivalent) degree from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 3 years’ experience in Accident and Emergency nursing.
• Languages: Communicate fluently in English and Portuguese.
• Technical Skills: Qualified in radio operations / air traffic (restricted certificate preferable).
• IT Skills: Computer literate.
• Contract Role: Rotational
