The Key responsibilities are:

• Analysing technologies, resource needs and demand, to assess project feasibility
• Carrying out studies and drafting technical specifications for the development and application of industrial processes measurement and control instruments
• Analysing and interpreting schemes, drawings, safety rules and/or other technical specifications
• Evaluating and/or carrying out the installation, maintenance, repair and calibration operations of all instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Checking the preparation of equipment, tools and materials suitable for the installation, maintenance and/or repair of instrumentation equipment and systems
• Analysing and/or registering all procedures used for the maintenance of instrumentation systems
• Detecting and/or correcting deficiencies and/or malfunctions in the instrumentation equipment and systems
• Giving technical Meeting technical procedures whenever it is necessary to disassemble devices
• Ensuring compliance with procedures whenever his activity involves disassembling instrumentation equipment or systems, assessing the situation
• Ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene conditions inherent in work development.
• Carrying out routine inspections, confirming equipment status;
• Performing all functional and operational tests of instrumentation equipment and systems
• Analysing the causes of malfunctions and proposing the necessary improvements, enabling to increase equipment reliability or maintenance
• Monitoring the reports drafted during the activity and recording the interventions on the equipment where the activity was carried out;
• Keeping the record of all audited work
• Controlling the requests for intervention, requisitions or work permits
• Drafting technical reports concerning Instrumentation/Electricity

Skills

• Extensive experience of oil and gas industry
• Good knowledge of Portuguese and English, both spoken and written;
• Thorough knowledge of Mathematics and Physics;

Requirements and Experience:

• Education at graduate level or higher in Instrumentation Engineering;
• Extensive work experience with the various instruments operating at the facilities (sensors, regulators, valves, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, etc.), as well as the necessary survey for routine maintenance operations;
• Good knowledge of
  • Electronic equipment and automation systems Instrumentations;
  • Facilities operations and maintenance and industrial electricity;
  • Hygiene and Safety at Work;
  • mechanics, namely regarding machines and tools, including their design, use, repair and maintenance;
  • of electronics: integrated circuits, processors, chips, electronic equipment, software and hardware, and applications and programming;
• Knowledge of safety rules to carry out work on dangerous installations
• Good knowledge of oil and gas treatment process
• Good knowledge, in a comprehensive way, of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment facilities
• Good knowledge of offshore construction.
