Subsea Engineer

 The Key responsibilities are:

• Evaluating the coherence, quality and efficiency of the design cost of the underwater production system project preparing the underwater project specifications and supporting the identification of the best technical solutions
• Analyse all technical problems related to underwater equipment, contributing to the adoption of corrective measures.
• Providing data in the preparation of technical specifications, if required
• Carrying out inspections to the site, according to the inspection plan and test
• Preparing opinions and recommendations on the equipment to be used and specificities of the projects to be applied to subcontractors
• Carrying out the reviews on the operations, safety project reviews and risk assessment
• Monitoring and inspecting the offshore facilities
• Carrying out the analysis on the state of the facilities and issuing reports and relevant procedures according to the project.
• Applying integration, installation and final approval tests.
• Analysing the supplier equipment, adding:
• Technical reports
• Correctly completing the worksheets and other documentation, according to the criteria defined for the underwater production area.
• Presenting detailed reports to his immediate superior.
• Establishing partnerships with Engineers from other departments, ensuring the exchange of knowledge in order to find the best technical solutions
• Liaising with subcontractors to answer technical questions and carry out, it necessary verifications /audits.
• Analysing and commenting contributions when received;
• Carrying out analyses, calculations and reports for production improvement
• Supporting his superior in collecting and implementing knowledge and experience, promoting continuous improvement of underwater activities.

Skills

• Fluent Portuguese and English

 Requirements and Experience:

• Education at graduate level or higher in Mechanical Engineering;
• Extensive work experience in oil and gas.
• Excellent knowledge of underwater structures from design to its use;
• Good knowledge of Final Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Good knowledge of underwater production systems, R&D (Research and Development).
