Base Management Manager Tempo Inteiro

Role synopsis

This is a new Base Management functional leadership role in the Angola Region to promote integration and clear priorities to manage short term production and deliver key Base Management and Production/Injection themes.
A primary requirement for the role is strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with the current RD Area Managers, GOO AOM and AESTLs, and the Region’s new Production Manager. Strong functional leadership in Base Management is also an important requirement. The role also requires a strong technical back ground in Base Management and functional leadership – delivering production, driving focus and integration in key Base Management themes areas such as SMO, wellwork, and forecasting. This is an F level SLL role, expat based in Luanda. Experience level is 15+ years industry experience in field management, degree(s) in Engineering, and relevant leadership experience in production and base management.

Key accountabilities

1. Build a consensus view on priorities and production forecast with the two RD Area Managers and VP RD
2. Lead a unified RD view in discussions with GOO and the proposed new Production Manager in GOO,
3. Support VPRD at RLT production meetings on forecast and technical priorities
4. Be the Base Management Manager for BM capability in Luanda and in discussions with VP BM.
5. Lead an Angola Central BM team that will focus on SMO models and calibration, wellwork through LWI and integration of production forecasts from different assets. Approximately five team members across Luanda and Sunbury will report to the role
6. Resource in SMO and Wellwork has been deployed to Sunbury to supply additional support, both these roles will report to BMM. Ensuring they are utilised and become part of the extended team will be a key part of the BMM role.

Technical/Engineering Degree

Essential experience and job requirements

15+ Years Industry Experience with an emphasis on petroleum engineering, base management, reservoir management and field development
Angola nationality for External application

Desirable criteria & qualifications

Extensive experience in active field development, technical and leadership focus with a strong background in base management and production. Relevant technical and leadership experience in diverse field development settings and Regions with strong production and decline challenges. Familiarity with gas and water floods and production optimization. Practical leadership experience working across functions such as Operations, Area teams, or other key interfaces in either JV or BP-operated settings.
