AESTL (Area Engineering Support Team Leader) Tempo Inteiro

Role synopsis

Reporting to the Area Operations Manager (AOM), the Area Engineering Support Team Leader (AESTL) is accountable for ensuring safe, reliable Operations and efficient management and execution of support engineering.

Key accountabilities

• Production Optimization and Plant Reliability, including:
• Responsible for in-year production delivery, optimization and performance management;
• Approval of weekly production plan and associated targets;
• Chair of the monthly IPC meeting, Endorsement of quarterly production plan and forecast;
• Provide day-to-day technical support to offshore, Responsible for the day-to-day management of the onshore ACE;
• Identify production improvement opportunities, lead implementation, measure improvements;
• Lead improvement in plant reliability – driving defect elimination, setting improvement targets;
• Implement consistently the agreed common processes: PEI (Production Efficiency Improvement) and IFP (Integrated Field Planning);
• Facilitate amongst the Production Managers the sharing of best practice across the ACE teams;
• Approve ToRs for improvements/repairs that cannot be resourced offshore or in the ACE team;

Efficient Execution of Work:

• Approval authority for all work at the 12 week planning gate;
• Interface with all internal functional teams to support efficient execution of the 12 week plan;
• Accountable for execution of the surveillance plan;
• Provide operational and technical support to the in-year TAR;
• Cost management of the agreed ACE budgets;
• Delivery of minor asset mods and minor repairs;
• Approval for execution of all facilities mods in Strategic Performance Unit (SPU) MoC process.

Safety and Integrity:

• Facilitate delivery of safety, integrity and environmental performance of asset;
• Accountable for defining the operating conditions to meet environmental targets (Offshore Installation Manager – OIM executes);
• Approval of safety critical maintenance deferrals;
• Responsible for compliance with asset Performance Standards;
• Coordination of response to verification findings with IVB;
• Accountable for compliance with minimum requirements for process safety documentation;
• Manage the integrated operations risk matrix (co-owned with OIM);
• Approval Authority for all technical management of change executed by onshore/offshore resources;
• Accountable for onshore technical approval of Operations procedures;
• Provide resources for IMT team (Asset Reps);
• Participation in Safety & Operational Risk incident investigations (Tier 2 and 3 leader accountability).

Essential Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.

Essential experience and job requirements

1. Strong technical background in all aspects of field operations;
2. Management/supervisory experience;
3. Operations experience in a manufacturing or petro-chemical environment;
4. Angolan Nationality.
