Deputy Accounting Manager

The key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring proper functioning of the Accounting area, supporting his superior in organizing accounting closure cycles, ensuring compliance with established deadlines;
• Assisting in programming and monitoring the daily Accounting activities, such as preparation of financial statements, computer records, daily postings, invoice control, collections, etc;
• Monitoring performance of the activities in the absence of his superior, making sure that the records are complete, correct and carried out within the set deadlines;
• Supporting in controlling all accounts payable activities;
• Supporting his superior in preparing the monthly accounting report;
• Periodically conducting, together with the Accounting Manager, the report analysis and presentation to the Finance, Planning and Control Director;
• Making sure that the accounts payable reports accurately reflect the financial results and financial positions of ENI Angola.
• Assisting the Accounting Manager in defining internal rules for the Accounting area;
• Supporting the development of accounting policies and procedures for accounts payable;
• Following up the recruitment, training and development of the accounting area employees, for the performance of advanced tasks;

Requirements

•  Education at graduate level or higher in Accounting;
• Work experience between 8 and 10 years in a similar position;
• Fluent in English and Portoughese Language (spoken and written);
• Excellent knowledge of general and analytical accounting;
• Good knowledge of SAP in MM, FI and CO modules;
• Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
