ICT Technician

The Saipem is seeking an ICT Technician.

To provide technical ICT support to offshore operations, ensuring all communication systems, IT infrastructure, and software tools function effectively and securely to support operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all ICT hardware and software offshore, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, radios, and satellite communication systems.
• Ensure the availability of voice and data communication systems (VHF, UHF, VSAT, IP Phones, etc.).
• Monitor network performance, conduct routine checks, and respond to incidents in line with SLAs.
• Coordinate with the onshore ICT team for updates, patches, and system rollouts.
• Manage user accounts, access control, backups, and data security in accordance with company policies.
• Support mission-critical systems used in drilling, production, safety (e.g., SCADA, CCTV, PAGA).
• Maintain accurate inventory of ICT equipment and software licenses offshore.
• Provide first-line support and user training for offshore personnel.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and participate in audits or drills as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in ICT support, preferably in an offshore or remote industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, Firewalls), Windows Server/Active Directory, and satellite communications.
• Experience with offshore systems such as VSAT, HF/VHF radios, and IP-based monitoring tools.
• Certification (advantageous): CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft (MCP/MCSA), ITIL.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in offshore environments.
