Role Summary:

The role of the successful candidate will be to coordinate, monitor and progress all shipment requests to ensure the on-time delivery of products through the Projects, Stores and Logistics teams and process imports and exports ensuring customs and excise and compliance requirements are met and support with daily administrative duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Project Dispatch Requests, ensuring accurate information and associateddocumentation is present;
  • Liaise with Projects and sourcing to ensure all documents supplied are correct and shipment isprocessed on time to meet the customer requirements;
  • Coordinate and prioritize goods for picking and packing with Stores & Logistics team Leader;
  • Prepare shipping documentation and process imports and exports ensuring compliance with legaland regulatory Requirements;
  • Attend weekly revenue meeting to communicate any issues / update on progress to ProjectFinance Lead and update revenue plan (excel database) with latest actions;
  • Work closely with Projects to create shipping forecast plan to enable creation and maintenance ofcapacity plan for Logistics;
  • Create and maintain weekly KPI’s for shipments;
  • Comply with regulations and policies in environmental, health and safety and quality;
  • Coordinate shipments where possible to achieve cost savings. not compromising on timedelivery;
  • Perform kick and counts with customer’s team and verify Proof of Delivery Documentation;
  • Work closely with customer representatives, customs officials, and company agents;
  • Preform any other tasks or duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with atleast 2 years of experience in logistic)/ or equivalent;
  • Knowledge & experience of customs and excise and shipping for importation and exportation ofgoods including dangerous goods;
  • Well organized and must be capable of decision making, prioritizing and multi-tasking, andworking to agreed schedules and targets;
  • Capability to have a flexible approach to the workload;
  • Ability to communicate with ease and work with others;
  • Likes to take the lead and own issues through to completion;
  • Experience in Lean / six sigma, for new process creation;
  • Word, excel experience (confident with maintaining Microsoft Excel databases);
  • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location.

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with Oracle is preference;
  • Ability to work with advanced information systems;
  • Knowledge of GE products and services is preferred;
  • Six Sigma training is preferred;
