Purpose of the position
As HSE Engineer, you will Provide necessary support to ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety Management System throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of the project.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities
- Provides support to ensure that all design, procurement, construction, and installation activities are conducted in compliance with Client HSE requirements, Company standards, applicable local legislation, and international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Supports implementation of HSE requirements across all project phases.
- Ensures HSE principles are integrated into engineering and operational activities.
- Supports the development and implementation of Project HSE Plans and Procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensures consistent application of HSE policies, procedures, and standards across project activities
- Contributes to continuous improvement of HSE systems and practices
What are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of QHSE experience, with at least 5 years in managerial roles in oil & gas, petrochemical, or NGC projects.
- Languages: Portuguese and Professional English.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical ability to develop, implement, and maintain a Project HSE Management System aligned with corporate and international standards, including:
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
- Client-specific HSE requirements.
- IT Skills: Microsoft tools.
What else should you know? All applicants must reside in Angola and possess a valid residence card, as Saipem is unable to offer sponsorships.
